As per the Lord Deepankar's blessing, on 7th May, a baby was born in the jungle of Lumbini through the womb of Maya Devi and King Suddhodana, leader of the Shakya clan.The baby was named Siddhartha. During the time of delivery Siddhartha survived but unfortunately Maya Devi didn't. So his step mother who was the second wife of King Suddhodana take care of Siddhartha and treated him as her own son.



So on 7th May ( Buddha Jyanti)  Lord Gautam Buddha was born in Kapilvastu, Lumbini.
